Doctor’s Bathroom

Solving the 4:30 am Wake-Up Call

This dated primary bathroom had two major flaws: it opened directly into the bedroom, and its poor acoustics turned every early morning routine into a disruption. With the husband being a pediatric surgeon rising at 4:30AM daily, his wife was constantly awakened by the noise of showers and prep.

Hudson reimagined the layout by relocating the entry doors and reconfiguring the bathroom and his-and-her closets to create a buffer between the sleeping area and morning activity. Sound-deadening insulation was added to all bathroom walls and the ceiling, resulting in a whisper-quiet space. The renovation also replaced the unused jacuzzi tub with a sleek new shower and added a private water closet, blending thoughtful design with daily function.
